John Mahama wins first case as Supreme Court accept their application to rectify errors

The apex court of the land,  the Supreme Court has accepted an application by the Mahama led petition to correct their errors in their recent court  case against Ghana’s Electoral Commission(EC) and New Patriotic Party(NPP) over what they termed as a flawed elections on December 7th.

The application was highly objected by NPP and EC to the extend that they appealed that the court should throw their case away.

Petitioner, Former President John Dramani Mahama got the first victory this morning when the court granted his application to
correct errors, which was opposed by the respondents. The panel of 7 is chaired by
the Chief Justice himself and the  trial is expected to be live on TV.

John Mahama,  Chairman Ofosu Ampofo and others were all present at the court hearing. Court has adjourned Petition to 19th January, 2021.


Summary of Court Report

• Motion for live telecast struck out as moot.

• Motion for amendment granted. Petitioner to file amendment before 4pm today. Respondents granted leave to file any amended response before 4pm tomorrow.

• Petition adjourned to 19th January, 2021.
