Mubarak Muntaka retracts corruption allegation against Supreme Court

Five time Parliamentary candidate for Asawase, Mubarak Mohammed Muntaka has retracted his corruption allegation he made against Supreme Court judge.

Muntaka recently made a disclosure during an interview broadcast by Joy News TV on 10th January, 2021. The disclosure was based on a report from a trusted colleague which was that she had been approached by a Justice of the Supreme Court seeking to entice her to vote for a particular candidate during the contest for Speakership of Parliament.

He has admitted that since he did not name any judge in his statement which has believed to have scandalized the entire Judiciary service. He indicated that upon counsel with his lawyers the retraction is the best way to go.

Mubarak Muntaka who was born on October 17th 1970 and hails from Akuse in the Eastern Region of Ghana has pleaded with the Judiciary to accept his letter and allow sleeping dogs to lie.

He has further called for the good relationship that exit between the Judiciary and Legislature not to diminish over his statement.
