Family of the late Rawlings thank Prez. Akufo-Addo for giving him a befitting burial

The family of the late Rawlings have paid a courtesy visit to the office of the government headed by President Akufo-Addo to thank him for giving the former state man a befitting burial.

Former President Jerry John Rawlings passed on the 12th November, 2020 as earlier on reported by Ghanaontheglobe.com. The sudden death was a big surprise to most Ghanaians because the man was admired by many.

By the help of the current government led by President Akufo-Addo, Jerry John Rawlings was giving a befitting burial which was attended by many international officials and prominent people even in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic. He was buried on 27th January, 2021.

As courtesy requires the family initially informed the President about the unfortunate incident and therefore after everything is done they are suppose to pay a courtesy visit for his support.

President Akufo-Addo received Former first lady, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, Zenator Rawlings and the rest of the family members at the Jubilee House on Thursday, 18th February, 2020.

“On Thursday, 18th February 2021, the family of the late Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings paid a courtesy call on me at Jubilee House, the seat of the nation’s presidency, to thank Government for the befitting burial accorded the 1st President of the 4th Republic on 27th January 2021.’ – President Akufo-Addo on his Social Media handles
