Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy are bigger than VGMA – A Plus

Kwame Asare Obeng popularly known as A Plus has stated categorically that controversial Ghanaian artistes Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale are bigger than arguably Ghana’s biggest award scheme Vodafone Ghana Music Awards(VGMA).

A Plus made this controversial statement at Utv’s popular show ‘United Showbiz’ with Empress Nana Ama Mcbrown. A Plus said that, ‘Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale are bigger than VGMA’,  this came after he indicated that the VGMA award scheme are making money out of these two artiste.

Talking to Nana Mcbrown, A Pus added that the award scheme should realize that this is a business and must be treated as such. Expressing his dissatisfaction, he queried the fact that VGMA was so irresponsible for allowing the two artiste to carry weapon into the auditorium.

VGMA is the biggest award scheme in the country, The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA formerly Ghana Music Awards) was established in 2000 by Mascot to celebrate Ghanaian musicians. The awards are presented annually, and are broadcasted live on favorite stations in the country. The awards ceremony features performances by artists. In 2020, the nominees jam which was scheduled for the 4th of April at the Koforidua Jackson Park was postponed. This was in compliance with the National Directives on Public Gathering due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
