Ghana finally receives Covid-19 Vaccines today

Ghana will finally be receiving his first batch of the Covid-19 Vaccines as scheduled. According to verified information available to Ghanaontheglobe.com  exactly by 7:00am the Covid-19 Vaccines will land in the country.

The Vaccine will be received by Ghana’s Minister for Health, Honorable Kwaku Agyemang Many and his delegations.

This is the first batch of vaccines Ghana is expected to take out of a total of 2.4 million doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine licensed to the Serum Institute of India (AZ/SII).

The country is among 145 countries listed to receive vaccines from a number of suppliers through the COVAX Facility according to the World Health Organisation (WHO).

“The Govenment of Ghana will on Wednesday February 24, 2021 receive the first batch of the Coronavirus vaccines at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra. The Minister for Health Designate, Kwaku Agyeman Manu (MP) will lead the government delegation to receive the vaccines at 7:00AM. The brief ceremony will be televised live on Ghana Television (GTV) and also on the Ministry of Infomation’s Facebook page. Media houses interested in the coverage are encouraged to pick the live feed from these two platforms.” – recent release by the Ministry for Information.

Currently Ghana is still struggling with his Covid-19 pandemic as it’s still on the rise. Ghana has recorded over 80,000 confirmed Covid-19 cases.
