The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA formerly Ghana Music Awards) was established some two decades ago by Mascot to celebrate Ghanaian musicians. The awards are presented annually to deserving artiste based on voting from Ghanaians, Electoral College and the Board.

Since the establishment of the awards scheme numerous artiste have received the “artiste of the year” award.
