Two Suspect Beaten To Death For Allegedly Stealing A Lady’s Handbag

Two suspects, who are suspected to be armed robbers have been beaten to death, one was beaten with sticks and the other person fell into lagoon in his attempt to escape, they were allegedly accused for grabbing a lady’s hand bag, while they were on their motor bike.

The casualty, thereafter put forward the alarm, which tempted a crowd to the place to chase the robbers who then left their motorbike, weapons and gulped to escape arrest.”

DSP Effia Tenge said “one of the suspected robbers allegedly jumped into the Blue Lagoon and was believed to have running from arrest.

But the other associated was assaulted by the crowd and inflicted drastic traumas on him and left him when they got information of the appearance of the police patrol team at the place.

“The police picked the suspected injured robber, a male adult of about 25 years, who was unable to speak, and rushed him to the Police Hospital, where Dr. Moses Gati certified him as “dead on arrival.

Later at about 1130 hours, the near decomposed body of his colleague, a male adult aged about 38years, was found floating on the Lagoon.’’

According to the police, the two bodies have been sent to the mortuary for further investigation and to identify their traits.


DSP Effia Tenge then advised citizens not to put the law in their hands in such issues, they must wait for the police to take charge.
