In a statement issued by the Multimedia Group on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, it said “In the month of July 2021 (2nd, 9th and 19th), the MP for Assin Central Constituency, Kennedy Agyapong, made and repeated false and defamatory statements on his media platforms spurning caution issued by our lawyers on 13th July 2021.”
According to the Multimedia’s statement, it has been compelled to drag the Assin Central MP, his media organisation and three of his employees to court to afford him (Kennedy Agyapong) the opportunity to prove his claims.
The lawyers of the company hold the view that the comments, which were made in the wake of the Ejura disturbances, are outright falsehoods.
