UG student suffers severe injury after Commonwealth and Sarbah clash

The clash between Commonwealth and Sarbah hall after the University of Ghana SRC Run-off election has caused some injuries and properties been destroyed.

A man who is believed to be a student of University of Ghana has suffered severe injury in the head leading to heavy bleeding after the clash which occured around 1:00am on Saturday, October 30, 2021.

The clash between Commonwealth and Sarbah hall also saw some cars been damaged.

National Security and Ghana Police Service were deployed to maintain law and other on campus.

About The Run-off Presidential Elections

The University of Ghana Student Representative Council Presidential runoff election as earlier stated came off on Friday, 29th October, 2021.

As Ghanaontheglobe.com readers already know the contest was between Samuel Amos Ofosu(Nana B) as Presidential hopeful and Alfred Acquah also as Vice Presidential hopeful against Prince Asumadu & Wisdom Ndukwe as Presidential and Vice Presidential hopeful respectfully.

The total manual vote ended with Prince Asumadu & Wisdom Ndukwe leading by 3756(52.47%)  as against Samuel Ofosu & Alfred Acquah who got 3402(47.53%).

The online polls also ended with Prince Asumadu & Wisdom Ndukwe leading by 3891 votes as against Samuel Ofosu & Alfred Acquah who got 3754 votes.

Prince Asumadu and Wisdom Ndukwe in total got 7647(51.6%) against Samuel Ofosu and Alfred Acquah’s 7156(48.3%) votes.

Officially Prince Asumadu and Wisdom Ndukwe have won the University of Ghana  Presidential Elections and are President and Vice President elect.
