According to reports Member of Parliament for Madina, Xavier Sosu has escaped an attempted arrest by alleged security personnel from Ghana Police Service.
The armed police personnel stormed Believers House of Prayer Church where he worship on Sunday, 31st October, 2021 to arrest him but he however resisted the arrest.
Some of his supporters believe that they are there to pick him up over a demonstration he led to protest the bad roads in his constituency last week.
The Madina Constituency Secretary for NDC, Abdul Razak Husseine, said the MP was taken to an undisclosed location by the Minority Chief Whip, Muntaka Mabarak
Recently some police personnel attempted to arrest him during the protest at the Oyarifa-Danfa areas but he resisted the armed men who had taken over his vehicle.
He later lodged an official complaint in Parliament on 26 October,2021 against the Accra Regional Director of Police Operations, Isaac Asante.
The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin referred the matter to the Privileges Committee to invite the police to answer some questions.
