The Chief Executive Officer for Red Panther Music international and Hallmark PLC who also doubles as artiste manager, Emmanuel Barnes known in showbiz as Mr. Logic has lambasted Ghanaians who are labelling Sarkodie as an opportunist.
According to Ghanaontheglobe.com reports the controversial Hit FM pundit indicated on “Showbiz Review” that he finds it very disgusting over comments by some Ghanaians that Sarkodie feature upcoming artistes to tap into their buzz.
He indicated that at this stage in the career of Sarkodie he doesn’t need any upcoming artiste in the country to rise and maintain his consistency in the music business.
Logic added that such unsolicited comments will go a long way to affect upcoming artiste who may wants to work with him in the future.
He also expressed his view that as an upcoming artiste when you are coming up you need the blessing of top artiste for you to be able to tap into their fan-base.
Sarkodie, Samini, Shatta Wale are among the A-list artistes that Mr. Logic indicated that they don’t need upcoming artistes to maintain their legendary status. He stated,
“We need to stop this whole style of calling Sarkodie names for giving features and helping out the kids. It is going to deter him from helping others, we should stop it this thing must stop now. I wonder how Sark may be feeling by now as we are trying to tag him as an opportunist or parasite… That’s what they are saying that he feeds on the young ones.
“Sark has risen to greatness already, is the young ones who need him. It’s like saying that Shatta give features and trying to tap or Samini giving features and trying to tap. That thing you people need to stop, in the music space you need bigger brands to endorse you, it gives numbers.”
