Samuel Eto’o elected as President of Cameroon Football Federation

One of Africa’s greatest footballers of all-time and legend, Samuel Eto’o Fils has been elected as President of the Cameroon Football Federation.

He was elected as President of the federation on Saturday, 11th December, 2021 amidst a lot of congratulatory messages from friends and fans across the world as cited by Ghanaontheglobe.com .

Samuel Eto’o is an African Football legend from Cameroon who has featured for clubs like Barcelona, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Everton and others. He has scored 293 goals at the various club level.

Expressing his joy after the election, Eto’o In a statement stated,

“I’ll be remembering today as one of the proudest moments of my life. I’m deeply grateful to be elected as the new president of @FecafootOfficie.

“Every vote represents the energy and ambition of our football family to take our beloved sport to a level we’ve never seen before. Let’s get to work ?? @FecafootOfficie”

He has won the African Player of the Year four times: in 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2010 and considered by many as one of the greatest footballers in the world.

The Cameroon Football Federation was Founded in 1959 and has it headquarters in Yaoundé, Cameroon.
