An unregistered car has killed a police officer who was at the call of duty at a police checkpoint in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
Information reaching Ghanaontheglobe.com indicate that a policer officer by name constable Chris Quarshie has lost his life at a police checkpoint at Akwadum in the Eastern Region after a driver knocked him down.
According to the Eastern Regional Command Public Relation Officer of Ghana Police Service, DSP Ebenezer Tetteh a driver suspect by name John Adu Adjei who is believed to be fifty three years(53) was driving a Toyota Tundra with DV plate 3518621 committed the unfortunate act.

The incident happened on Thursday, 8th December, 2021.
The suspect was driving from Koforidua towards Suhum when he clashed the Police barricade knocking down Constable Chris Quarshie.
The Police offdicer sustained serious injury and was latter rushed to Saint Joseph Hospital where he received treatment.

He was later transferred to 37 Military Hospital in the Greater Accra Region were unfortunately he passed and has since been deposited at the 37 Military Hospital Mortuary.
Police are currently preparing to arraign the driver before court, John Adu Adjei is still in Police Custody.
