The issue of Coronavirus is not one that anybody would like to jubilate about, every Tom,Dick and Harry in Ghana is definitely concerned about this menace.
The President of the Republic of Ghana,Nana Akufo Addo is putting measures in place to combact this deadly pandemic as soon as possible.
Measures like shutting down all schools in the country, banning of church service, social distancing are some measures been deployed by the president. Land Borders have been closed, Airport have also been shut down.
All measures have been deployed already. Considering the fact that Ghana is a religious country the president has made Wednesday, 25th March, 2020 a National Day of Prayer. Below is the payer outline for Muslims and Christians.
When the president was speaking about the National Day of prayer he said,
“These are not ordinary times and at such times in a country whose population is predominantly Christian, we must seek the face of the one true God for healing and restoration,” President Akufo-Addo told Ghanaians at the televised Prayer meeting held at the Jubilee House, the seat of the Presidency in Accra, Thursday, Mu8arch 19.
“I have called you to this prayer meeting for us to join together and pray to the Almighty God to protect our nation, heal this land and save us from this pandemic,” the President said and added, “We are also putting into practice the hope of the words in the holy scriptures in James 5:14 and 15 and I quote ‘If anyone among you sins let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil and a prayer offered in faith will raise him up.”
“I am confident that this morning’s (March 19) prayer, which will be offered in faith will help heal our nation and will help raise Ghana up and I believe profoundly that we the Ghanaian people, with our faith in the Almighty, will overcome this challenge.
